Finance Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting our accounting and project administration functions within a growing construction company. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with financial records and project documentation.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with accounts payable, including reviewing field paperwork, entering invoices, helping reconcile vendor statements, and assisting with check preparation
  • Assist with payroll processing and help maintain accurate payroll records
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial and project reports, including work-in-progress (WIP) and project manager overview reports
  • Assist with processing tax-related benefits and support year-end tax preparation activities
  • Assist in preparing certified payroll reports as required
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial review processes
  • Assist with maintaining records for company insurance policies and vehicle registrations
  • Support administrative and project-related tasks, including:
    – Creating bid packets
    – Preparing certificates of insurance
    – Maintaining project information for project managers
    – Processing purchase orders

Required Qualifications

  • Business or Accounting degree, or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience preferred, but not required
