Custom Landscape Design in Muncie, IN
Because the way you feel when you come home matters
Why Choose Plant Studio Landscape
A landscape project is a big thing to hand to someone. What sets Plant Studio apart is how we look after it, and you, from the first walk of your property to long after the last plant goes in.
You always know what’s happening. Your project manager sends updates every week, our office confirms appointments and sends reminders, and we reach out before you have to wonder. The thing most people dread on a project is being left in the dark. That doesn’t happen here.
One company stands behind the whole project. Our own crews do the work, and if anything ever needs to be made right, even a subcontractor’s part of it, that’s ours to handle, not yours to chase. One team owns the result, start to finish.
We don’t disappear when the job is done. If something comes up a season, or even a few years later, you call us and we answer. That kind of follow-through is rare, and it’s why so much of our work comes from clients we’ve looked after for years.
Design and craft, under one roof. Your project is guided by a practicing landscape architect, the design eye to make a property beautiful and the technical knowledge to make it last. You feel that combination in work that looks right the day it’s finished and still looks right ten years on.
Whether you’re starting with a single garden bed or designing the whole property, you’re working with a team you can grow into for years to come.

You deserve a backyard that welcomes you home
At Plant Studio Landscape, that starts with seeing your property the way the first owner of the house once saw the lot. Every yard came from somewhere. Every house has a relationship with the land it sits on. From a 1940s bungalow off Bethel Avenue to a new build out near Cammack, our team starts every project by looking at what is already there before we draw a single line.
What this means in practice is that no two of our home projects look alike. A property on a quarter acre in town does not get the same plan as a property on three acres outside it. A walkout basement does not get the same plan as a slab. The land tells us what the design should be. We listen, sketch, refine, and only then build.

What a Project Looks Like, Start to Finish
A project with us moves through four stages.
First, we walk the property with you. We ask what you use the yard for now, what you wish it did, and where the parts of family life happen outside. We measure, photograph, and note the grade, the drainage, the sun angles, and the existing trees worth keeping.
Second, we design. The design team translates the walk into drawings. For a master plan, that means a scaled plan view, a planting list, a hardscape detail, and a phased budget. You see the plan before any equipment lands.
Third, we build. Our crews handle install, hardscape, pool excavation, lawn renovation, and lighting in house. We sequence the build so dirt work happens first, structural elements next, and planting and finishes last so the finishes are not damaged during construction.
Fourth, we walk the finished property with you. We hand off care instructions. We come back the next season for a check in so the plan keeps doing what it was drawn to do.

Everything We Do for a Home
From first design through construction and seasonal care, here is what we build and maintain across a property.
Built for Indiana, Built to Last
East Central Indiana is not a forgiving climate to design for. Winters freeze the ground deep enough to crack hardscape installed above the frost line. Summers swing from drought to flash storms that wash out beds graded for a different region. The soil along the I-69 corridor is heavy clay in some places and sandy loam a half mile away. Our plans assume all of it. Hardscape bases get the depth that this subgrade needs. Plant lists lean on natives and proven cultivars that hold up from Burlington Drive out to White River. Drainage gets designed in, not bolted on. The result is work that looks right at year one and still looks right at year ten.

Schedule a Walk of Your Property
A first conversation does not cost anything. We walk the property, listen, and tell you what we would do and what we would not do. We picture a world where the yard is the reason you bought the house. If that is the yard you want, request a quote and we will start with a walk of the property.
